My Little Guy
He is growing up so quickly. Two weeks ago (June 22 or whereabouts), he started to turn and rotate around. I would leave him under Mr. Star for a few minutes, and when I come back , he would be at a 90 degree angle from where I left him. Then he started to roll to his side (from both tummy and back), and now he can roll himself from his back to his stomach, and from his stomach to his back (when he is in the mood). It is so cute to see him try and figure it out – at first, in the process of rolling from back to tummy, his little arm would sometimes get stuck under him, and then he would whimper for help. He would roll over, and then cry because he was startled. Now, he rolls over deliberately – gone are the days of leaving him on the couch unattended… *smiles*
Last night, we went over to Eric and Shannon’s, and did not get back until 11 pm (because I am an idiot and forgot my milk at work, and then forgot to stop there on the way home to get it, which worked out because I also forgot my keys for work at home – was one of those days). D. was awake, so I started preparing his bath. Five minutes later, baby and Daddy were both clonked out on the bed. B. got to keep sleeping, but I dragged D. off to bathe him. Yeah, I am a cruel mother that way. He was spitting up earlier, so he needed that bath, truth be told.
Anyhow, after I got my sleepy baby out of the tub and all dried (with some whining and attempts to roll off the changing table, now that he can roll at will), I put him in the crib on his back. He immediately rolled on his side. An hour or so later, I heard whimperings from his room, which did not last long. When I went in to check on him a few minutes later, he was on his tummy, his diapered butt up in the air, legs bent at the knees in the “ready to launch forward†position, deep asleep. Too cute.
