11 lb 7 oz (5 kg 188 g). Looks like he is gaining weight even with the irregular feeding patterns. Makes me feel better.

We are on the waiting list for Squeeker at the daycare DemonChild goes to. They are not anticipating any openings until June. Hopefull idiot that I am, I waited until this month to start looking for alternative daycare solutions. Made a few calls. At one place, nothing until June. At another, not until July. Yet another, may have something at the end of January. Eeep. Finally found one that had a spot available, and took it. We would have been so screwed otherwise. Moral of the story – plan ahead. Will I? Experience shows that it is not bloody likely (when we were looking for daycare for DemonChild, our answer to “When will you start?” was “Next week?” So yeah, planning ahead is so NOT R Us.).

(Parents have arrived from Russia on Sunday. So far, the “Mwa-ha-ha, now I will be able to get things done” plan is so not working.)

Friday, October 27 – Squeeks weighs in at 10 lbs 9 oz (4 kg 791 g).
Friday, November 3 – 10 lbs 15 oz (4 kg 960 g).
Slowing down on the weight gain a bit.

He smiles, and occasionally he coos. He also cries. A LOT. By 2 months, DemonChild was already showing his independent nature – we could leave him under Mr. Star and he would just chill and enjoy the show. Squeeker is not thrilled with Mr. Star. Squeeker is a social animal and wants to be held during his awake hours. Which I have no problem with, unless he decides that he should also scream his little head off at the same time. At which point I start contemplating making a “Free to a Good Home” box again.
