- Day four. No ciggies. Thank god it’s going to be cold outside for the next couple of days, that always helps. Winter is a good time to quit activities that require you to be outside to perform them :P
- Nice New Year’s party at Eric and Shannon’s. Alex has impressive staying (up) power :-)
- Bill took the kids sledding and visiting his mom, so I could have my nervous breakdown in solitude.
- Ability to post-date blog posts, since I often post before I go to bed (so my day is not yet over), but 99% of the time I go to bed after midnight.
- 2009 is over. It sucked. More on that tomorrow.

- Day three of not smoking. *sigh*
- I made it through a month of more-or-less daily GiST posts! Go me.
- My husband. My kids are so lucky to have him as a parent. I am pretty useless these days.
- Beating Shannon at Scrabble (pathetic, I know. It’s my consolation prize for losing to Eric by over 100 points.)
- Next week, I am going back to work.

- Bill let me sleep in! (Still trying to deal with my screwed-up sleep schedule. Since I am writing this at 4 am, it’s pretty obvious that the screwed-up sleep schedule is winning :-)
- Survived day-after-Christmas at Mother-in-Law’s house.
- Nice dinner at Famous Dave’s with Brother-in-Law and his wife.
- The aftermath of Christmas celebration has been cleared away. Kids made out like bandits, wish they were more appreciative of the gifts they got.
- Beautiful crunchy snow.

- Our traditional Christmas Eve chili lunch at Mel’s
- Little kids basketball hoop the boys got from Uncle Mel – hopefully that will let them work off some energy when they are stuck inside!
- My headache went away after a long nap (unfortunately, nap = totally screwed up sleep schedule, but that’s for a difference list… “Annoyance in All Things, Big and Small” – unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll ever have trouble coming up with things for that list :-)
- Christmas tree is decorated (as of 7 am Christmas day, but still…)
- It stayed above freezing tonight, so all the rain we’ve been getting had NOT turned into ice.

- “The Demon’s Lexicon” was very good. Looking forward to “The Demon’s Covenant,” out in May 2010.
- No work until January 4th! I am pretty sure I will not survive that much together time with my kids, but at least I won’t have to feel guilty about being late to work again.
- Hallway walls have been decorated with kids’ artwork from November and December. Damien gets his own wall :-)
- Jeff got Outlook Anywhere working on Lappy, so I can check my work email in style!
- Leftover pizza for dinner. Yum!
