Grace in Small Things – 26/365

Published by at 11:56 pm under Grace in Small Things

  1. Bill let me sleep in! (Still trying to deal with my screwed-up sleep schedule. Since I am writing this at 4 am, it’s pretty obvious that the screwed-up sleep schedule is winning :-)
  2. Survived day-after-Christmas at Mother-in-Law’s house.
  3. Nice dinner at Famous Dave’s with Brother-in-Law and his wife.
  4. The aftermath of Christmas celebration has been cleared away. Kids made out like bandits, wish they were more appreciative of the gifts they got.
  5. Beautiful crunchy snow.

I think appreciation will come later. While Alex said thank you, sometimes after prompting, I think that sentiment was more habit than sincere.

    1. Heated floors (a couple of the teachers in Yinchuan have them, and their apartment is toasty warm)

    2. Being able to go to Yinchuan, after being restricted for two and a half months.

    3. The movie on the bus on the way home was a period film, so even though I couldn’t understand what was going on, I could at least look at the costumes.

    4. My rice-cooker, for an easy meal.

    5. Being almost packed, and well below the weight limit.
