Olya - pants getting looser does feel great. Will find out later today just how much I lost. Weigh-in starts at 11:30.

Karen - If we ever get some video of her walking, I'll post it on my blog and let you know.

That's a good idea! I could give the guys place names or something.

Greek and Hebrew are being taught by Ben; he's reviewing because he'll be tested on them due to having two years elapse between MLC and Sem.

Shannon, I wish I could see Beth walking; that is such a cute stage!

Karen, how will you be learning Greek and Hebrew? Online, or is there someone in the area who can teach you? Congrats on thwarting WELS eyebrows :-)

Suggestion for names - favorite book characters! You can have Corlath, Harimad, Luthe, Tor, Aerin... Or you can go for names that also mean other things (a bit vague, I know) - you can have April and August and June and Faith and Hope and Charity and Melody and I have no idea what you are going to do for guys - Jet, maybe?

Shannon, congrats on pants getting looser! I bet that feels great :-)

1. Finally got a good batch of files from the company we're working with

2. Furnace isn't going to cost as much as feared

3. Beth is getting more daring in her walking attempts

4. Hitori

5. Pants getting looser instead of tighter

By the way, I need to give English names to two more classes, totaling about 60 students. This year I named all my students by themes, so I have a class named after my dad's side of the family, one after my mom's side of the family, one after high-school classmates, two from the Bible, and one random multi-ethnic names. Any ideas for other themes? I try to avoid repeat names, if possible, so I don't get confused, which is why I haven't done college classmates.

Happy birthday, Mel!

Kids sleeping in their beds is a very good thing...

1. Today is a lot warmer than it has been the last few days.

2. There was one familiar face in the new classes I had today.

3. I found popcorn at the new supermarket! (real popcorn, not the microwave stuff that comes pre-sweetened)

4. I finally get to study Hebrew and Greek, after wanting to for years. (Have you any idea how many WELS eyebrows it raises when a woman wants to learn Hebrew? Greek is a little more acceptable.)

5. We weren't forced to drink either baijiu (which has been described as tasting like fermented vomit) or wolfberry wine (which tastes like really bad cough medicine) at the college Women's Day dinner on Monday; they let us drink all the toasts with tea, which is a HUGE concession to us stubborn foreigners.
